Its first public performance was in Vienna in 1828. It is nicknamed the "Little C major" to distinguish it from his later Ninth Symphony, also in C major, which is known as "the Great." St. Michael's College at the University of Toronto has gone totally pride. From flying the pride flag to rainbow sidewalks to the Drag Show. "Display your pride." It's all about pride in pride. In 2024, in a letter to a Toronto city councillor the St. Michael's President David G. Sylvester writes: The St. Michael’s College Student Union (SMCSU) has requested that a Pride crosswalk with rainbow colours be painted between the John M. Kelly Library and Elmsley Place on St. Joseph Street. The University of St. Michael’s College administration and I enthusiastically support this proposal and commit to the costs associated with the project, as outlined to us, on the University’s behalf.
