Vatican Confirms: Pope Leo XIV Moves Into Apostolic Palace

The Vatican press office has confirmed that Pope Leo XIV moved into the papal apartment in the Apostolic Palace on Saturday with several of his closest collaborators. The Vatican announced the move but did not release photographs of the residence.

The apartment had been renovated in recent months after remaining unused for years. Media reports say the private quarters is located in an attic-level section of the residence, and that a fitness room has been installed.

Since his election ten months ago, Leo XIV had been living in the Palazzo del Santo Uffizio in the Vatican, where he had previously resided as Prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops.
