Peter, out of cowardice, denied Christ three times on a single occasion prior to the Crucifixion; and after weeping bitterly and repenting, he had to make a profession of faith once again to regain the standing he had lost. Christ asked forgiveness for the sin of ignorance, for God forgives ignorance, not malice. And Burke is not an ignorant man, but a priest; he will be judged just as the apostate angels were judged if he does not repent in time—for he is now an accomplice in Prevost’s rebellion, just as he remained one with Bergoglio until the very end.
