@Martin Blackshaw Yes, and then people like the LGBT brigade jump on Abp Nolan's stance about preaching Jesus Christ and not the Catholic Church, and then say 'well Jesus never mentioned homosexuality so it must be OK'. And so it goes on. Our Lord didn't mention many things specifically, but told His Apostles: "I have yet many things to say to you: but you cannot bear them now. But when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will teach you all truth. For he shall not speak of himself: but what things soever he shall hear, he shall speak. And the things that are to come, he shall shew you. He shall glorify me: because he shall receive of mine and shall shew it to you. All things whatsoever the Father hath are mine. Therefore I said that he shall receive of me and shew it to you. (John 16:12) and Our Lord also told His Apostles: "He that heareth you, heareth me: and he that despiseth you, despiseth me: and he that despiseth me, despiseth him that sent me". (Luke 10:16) Except the problem we have now is that the bishops keep quiet about sin, or claim that sin isn't really sin any more, so we have nothing to hear in the first place (unless you're into climate change garbage).

When I think of the 1980's, before the hideous modern basilica was built - which takes up just over a third of the old outdoor sanctuary site - the outdoor sanctuary used to be full of pilgrims, right back to the road, and many pilgrims did the last part, from the road to the Capelinha on their knees. Now, May and October get some pilgrims, but far less than the 1980's, but the attendance in other months in pitiably small. They're all going to Medjugorje instead.

@Scapular Not true. La Salette was approved even though it said that Rome would become the seat of the Antichrist. Many other apparitions and saints/seers have criticised Rome. St Catherine of Siena was one example: "Catherine's prayer for love and of the Church brought clarity and boldness to her calls for reform. She was not concerned about offending others, nor did she limit her speech to what others wanted to hear. She criticized popes and even her dear friends when they did not have the courage of their own convictions." If St Catherine of Siena were alive today she would be blocked and vilified by many on GTV, for simply speaking the truth.

It was just a general comment for GTV readers. If you note , I wrote "on all sorts of blogs about this issue" meaning I have seen this issue referred to on several blogs to which I contribute. I wasn't singling you out. As you said, move on.
