Turin Church Houses Lutheran Worship Since 2020

In the historic centre of Turin, Italy, stands the Church of San Francesco d'Assisi. In the sixteenth century, the church temporarily safeguarded the Shroud of Turin, after its transfer from Chambéry.
Is is an active church in the Archdiocese of Turin, with regular Masses and the Blessed Sacrament reserved.
Since spring 2020, however, the church has also served as the regular place of worship for the Evangelical Lutheran Community of Turin.
The Lutheran congregation is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Italy (CELI) and has administrative offices elsewhere in the city, but no church of its own.
This arrangement is permanent.
During the installation of Pastor Tobias Brendel in September 2022, which took place in the Catholic church, a Catholic deacon symbolically presented the new pastor with a set of keys.
The Lutheran community said that this recognised the relationship of trust that had developed since the shared use of the church began in 2020.

"It often happened that they found themselves in want of necessaries, for they were very liberal to the poor, nor were they careful, like worldly people, to provide for their wants in advance. Now the Lord so ordered it, that the faith and patience of His holy Mother and St. Joseph should not be idle."

‘Admirable Life Of Patriarch Saint Joseph’ by Venerable Mary of Agreda; Chapter VI; ‘MODE OF LIFE OF THE AUGUST MARY …’; part III; pages 111-113

[Venerable Mary of Agreda – XVII Century AD; born/died: Agreda, Spain; Mystic; Writer; ‘Blue Nun’]
They mingled these conversations, or readings from the Scriptures, sometimes with manual labor, when the saint was obliged to continue at his work. Our most amiable Lady added to them the consolations of the celestial doctrines ; and thus the happy husband made greater advancement in virtue than with the work of his hands. She showed to Him the great fruit that may be drawn from labor. Believing herself unworthy to be maintained by her spouse, she was humbled, in thinking how much she was indebted to him. She felt herself as much obliged as if she had been the most useless of creatures, and, being unable to assist our saint, she served him whenever it was possible. About this time St. Joseph saw, one day, a great number of birds come to recreate the queen of creatures. ‘They fluttered around her, as if to form a choir, and sang with a delicious melody. St. Joseph had not before witnessed …Дукха

Cardinal Müller contradicts Cardinal Fernández on validity of SSPX confessions | Advaticanum

Cardinal Gerhard Müller appears to have contradicted an explanatory note issued by Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández on the canonical status of the sacraments administered by the Priestly Society of Saint Pius X. In an interview with K-TV on 6 July, Cardinal Müller was asked whether confessions heard by priests of the Society of Saint Pius X were valid or invalid. His response differed from the position set out in Cardinal Fernández’s explanatory note, published on 2 July. “The confessions are valid, but illicit,” Cardinal Müller said. “The power to forgive or retain sins is conferred through the sacrament of Holy Orders. Its exercise can only be restricted by the bishop or the Pope, as provided by canon law.” His remarks stand in contrast to the explanatory note issued by Cardinal Fernández, which stated in its third point: “Finally, the holy People of God are hereby warned that the sacred ministers of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X administer the sacraments unlawfully and that …

I have an idea that may solve all our problems. Since this has become the equivalent of a WWF high profile wrestling match, let's play it out with a
"Loser Leave Town" cage match where Cdls. Burke, Muller, Zuppi, Fernandez, Cupich, Tobin, McElroy fight it out. The losers must "leave town", resign their position and the winner is excommunicated! I'd buy tickets to that one

Cardinal Bagnasco: Why Not Summorum Pontificum?

"There are many rites in the Catholic Church; in Milan, for example, there is the Ambrosian Rite," Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco told AdVaticanum.com on July 8.
He added: "The document of Benedict XVI, Summorum Pontificum, does not create a new liturgical rite, but recognises, within the one Roman Rite, an ordinary form and an extraordinary form."
For the Cardinal, the issue is not the unity of the faith but rather "legitimate personal sensibilities": "If, in this area, differences do not become absolutes, banners, or parties, then why not?"

" The document of Benedict XVI, Summorum Pontificum, does not create a new liturgical rite..."
---
No, it was Montini with Bugnini who created it. Ratzinger just tried to save it by imposing a legal fiction of two forms of the same rite for ontologically and historically different rites.

MRS. CRAWFORD BEGINS FIGHT FOR HER FREEDOM
STATE STILL CONFIDENT OF CASE
Story of Negro Who Says He Was Eyewitness of Slaying Disbelieved by Solicitor.
Solicitor General Hugh M. Dorsey and Attorney Frank A. Hooper, engaged in the prosecution of Leo M. Frank, were induced Monday to break the silence they have maintained grilling the negro Jim Conley last week. They made their first public comments on the sensational developments of the last few days in the Phagan murder mystery.
Both declared emphatically that neither the affidavit of W. H. Mincey, insurance solicitor, nor the reported confession of the negro Will Green, who is said to have been an eyewitness of the attack upon Mary Phagan, gave evidence sufficient to shake their conviction of Leo Frank's guilt.
Rumors that the State was preparing to change its theory and to ask for the indictment of Jim Conley were laughed at.
Mincey Affidavit Discounted.

Chicago Archdiocese Declares Suiciders "Are With God," Dedicates Memorial

On June 26, the Archdiocese of Chicago, ruined by 🌈 Cardinal Blase Cupich, dedicated a memorial for suiciders.
The memorial, titled "At Peace," is located at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois.
According to the Archdiocese, it is the first memorial established by a Catholic archdiocese in the United States specifically for suiciders.
The Vicar General, auxiliary Bishop Lawrence Sullivan, said in a June 24 statement that the memorial was created to "honor the lives lost to suicide".
And: "Historically, the Catholic Church denied Catholic funerals in churches and burials in consecrated ground for individuals who died by suicide. The Church has undergone a significant transformation in its understanding of suicide and mental illness and now recognizes that many who die by suicide suffer from mental illness and unbearable pain. The Church now embraces these individuals and affirms that they are with God, not condemned."

Bishop of Liège Wishes New FSSPX Priest Well: Bishop Jean-Pierre Delville of Liège, Belgium, wished Fr. Vincent Richter, ordained for the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X at Écône on 29 June, well in his future mission in Brazil and urged him to serve Christ "as an authentic disciple of the Gospel." His tone was firmer after the FSSPX's four episcopal consecrations on 1 July without a papal mandate, describing them as deepening the Society's separation from Rome while still calling for continued dialogue.

Thursday, 17th July 1913 Mayor Asked to Probe Action of Police
Thursday, July 17, 1913
Declaring that police officers placed him under arrest while he was attempting to convey a woman in the throes of an epileptic fit to a hospital and forced him to be the companion to a negro in riding in the patrol wagon to the police station, Mongin F. Smith, vice president and secretary of the Eagle Stamp Works, Thursday afternoon carried a trenchant complaint of police stupidity to Mayor Woodward for investigation.
"The young woman whom we were endeavoring to place in a hospital was Miss Mabel Parker, a performer at the Old Mill Theater on Whitehall street," declared Mr. Smith. "She was taken with a convulsion when she learned of her brother's near death Wednesday afternoon.
"Aided by B.T. Glenn, manager of the theater, we placed her in an ambulance and drove to the Grady Hospital. While endeavoring to secure her a ward in the hospital, we were approached by two policemen who, as I understand, had …

McElroy changes his version about the dismissal of the Washington exorcist

McElroy's New Statement on Exorcist Contradicts His Previous One

🌈 Cardinal Robert McElroy of Washington now says he removed Msgr. Stephen Rossetti as a Washington exorcist not because of his demons-and-UFOs comments, but because exorcism should be a private ministry.
In a June 29 interview released July 8, McElroy said his objection was that exorcists should stick to quietly helping people in serious cases, not operate publicly: "It wasn't touching on the question of UFOs... my major objection is that I think the traditional role of an exorcist is a very private one."
That explanation contradicts the archdiocese's own June statement announcing the removal. It said Rossetti's UFO comments "gravely undermine the Church's very precise teaching on the devil, demons and exorcism."
Monsignor Rossetti had said in a video that he thinks many UFO sightings are demons capable of feats beyond human ability, such as impossible high-speed maneuvers.
