The U.S. bishops’ Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) has given the Washington Interfaith Network (WIN) more than $400,000 across nine grant cycles since 2009, including $25,000 in 2026. The controversy concerns WIN’s leadership and CCHD oversight. Former CCHD grant specialist Randy Keesler was responsible for the Washington, D.C., region while also holding leadership roles within WIN - creating a potential conflict of interest. WIN is now headed by Protestant preacher Alison Dunn-Almauger, its executive director, who backed a homosexual campaign at Baylor University. Even more striking is WIN strategy-team member Rev. Rob Keithan, who previously worked with Planned Parenthood.

Washington Interfaith Network

Washington Interfaith Network (WIN) is a long-time grant recipient of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, having received over $400,000 in grants across nine grant cycles dating back to 2009. The CCHD’s relationship with WIN runs even deeper than grant giving as the recently retired CCHD grant specialist Randy Keesler (WIN’s leadership profile of Keesler indicates that he retired from the CCHD in the Fall of 2023) held leadership roles with WIN at least as far back as 2017. This article from 2017 quotes Keesler and describes him as a WIN leader: In December of 2017, IAF quoted Keesler – as the head of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church’s social justice ministry (a member congregation of WIN) – indicating that the project indicated above was spearheaded by WIN. In November of 2018, Keesler is again identified as the chairman for social justice at Holy Redeemer which is also identified as a member of WIN. On 9 November 2020, Keesler is identified by WIN as a “WIN Leader” is a …

The Holy See Legitimizes Panentheism: A Heresy Against the Creator - The Remnant Newspaper

A new Vatican document praises panentheism, a heresy that blurs the essential distinction between Creator and creation. This seemingly subtle theological shift actually strikes at the very foundations of Creation, Original Sin, Redemption, and the necessity of Christ’s Cross. Panentheism: When God and Creation Are No Longer Distinct On August 21, the International Theological Commission published a document entitled “Caring for Our Common Home: A Responsible and Fraternal Response to the Trinitarian God.” This document sets out the context in which theological texts have been produced at least in recent months. Within it, however, numerous extremely problematic aspects are presented. The most problematic aspect is certainly the clearing for acceptance of pantheism in its soft variant, namely panentheism. Panentheism preserves the pantheistic premise—the divinity of the cosmos—and language that creates the illusion of preserving the distinction between Creator and creature. Tweet this …

An African Priest Serves Rural Italy's Spiritual Needs
In rural Italy, a unique story unfolds. Rev. Vincent Souly, originally from Burkina Faso, is bridging cultural gaps as a beloved priest in Prato, Tuscany. For 15 years, he's served a predominantly Italian congregation, forming deep connections. Despite his Italian citizenship, he faces challenges of acceptance. Souly reflects on his identity, saying, 'A piece of wood, no matter how long it stays in water, will never become a crocodile.' He prefers to be recognized by his heritage rather than the color of his skin. His journey highlights the complexities of belonging and the power of community.

These people ...ignorance is everywhere, be it in a mountain village, or a big city...May the Lord bless this priest, and give him PATIENCE.
"They warmly greeted Father Souly and invited him to stay for dinner. When he politely turned them down, telling them that he planned to visit a cancer patient in another village, Ms. Orlandi gently ribbed him.
“Give me a break,” Ms. Orlandi joked. “Who are you, the pope?” Mr. Ballotti asked Father Souly to come back the following week to watch a soccer match, but the priest said he would not have time."

The priest stepped into the bedroom where his 90-year-old parishioner lay sleeping in a hospital bed, flanked by oxygen tanks. The pastor towered over the bed and leaned down to move close to the patient, Carlo Martini, as the old man’s eyes fluttered open briefly.
“How are you?” the priest, the Rev. Vincent Souly, asked, a bit too loudly.
Mr. Martini’s wife, Renza Giagnoni, stood to the side and watched. “It looks like we’re the United Nations!” she said, also a bit too loudly.
Father Souly is one of the few Black faces in the province of Prato, a mountainous region of Tuscany, in central Italy, where he has served for 15 years as a Roman Catholic priest. He has built warm relationships with his predominantly Italian …More

Kremlin reveals new details of Putin-Trump call

Washington could help end the Ukraine conflict by stopping all assistance to Kiev, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov has said Washington could help bring the Ukraine conflict to an end sooner by stopping all assistance to Kiev, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov has said, commenting on the latest phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump. The two leaders spoke by phone on Tuesday in the wake of a new round of shuttle diplomacy that saw Trump’s envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner visit Moscow and Kiev over the weekend. The issue came up as the two presidents discussed ways to reach a settlement of the conflict, Ushakov told journalist Pavel Zarubin on Wednesday. Asked what Washington could do to bring the hostilities to an end sooner, the Kremlin aide said that “first and foremost, [it could] probably stop providing any assistance to Kiev.” The official acknowledged that US assistance to Ukraine had already “declined significantly” since Trump returned to …

How odd it is to see someone asking me, what has Russia done that was so good? After dozens of posts and more than once a list of the great things Russia has done, I am still asked that question. Proving once again, that they don't care to look or read a thing that is posted. But always ready to condemn Russia about the same things I posted about. Which tells me, they are not who they seem to be.
Just one example of what Russia has done. A most important one is, It's not Russia who has started WW. It is Russia who is being attacked from Poland, US, UK, and many others. But Russia does nothing. Yet! We know how Russia was chosen by GOD to punish them all. And in the end. Russia will walk away with many honors from Heaven. And we have seen how every time those countries try to hurt Russia how it always backfires and Russia is saved from their sanctions and false flags, coups, attempted assassinations and everything else. Russia and Putin come out a winner every time!

Two true bills, one charging Jim Conley with a misdemeanor "in concealing knowledge of the murder of Mary Phagan, and the other charging him with felony in being accessory to the murder after the deed, were turned Tuesday morning by the grand jury. The bills were returned after a brief deliberation only, the Conley case being the last taken up by the jury prior to adjournment.
The felony bill says that Conley, "Knowing that Leo M. Frank unlawfully and maliciously, with malice aforethought, killed and murdered one, Mary Phagan, did conceal the body of Mary Phagan and did receive, harbor and …

Tradition—"Whatever Remains, However Improbable"

[unamsanctamcatholicam] There is a well-known quote from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the author of Sherlock Holmes, to which I have always been partial. It goes, "When you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." Doyle's quote speaks to the mechanics of problem solving—those sincerely interested in getting to the heart of a matter must be willing to put all options on the table. This is especially true when the difficulty is seemingly insoluble and defies easy explanation. In such cases, when all obvious options have been exhausted, reason dictates that we proceed down the line to those less obvious. We already know what doesn't work; our task is to discover what does, however counterintuitive it might seem.
This attitude is, in my experience, what characterizes people and organizations who are truly interested in problem solving versus those who wish only to pay lip service to it whilst refusing to seriously try to fix …More

Tuesday, 9th September 1913 Judge Roan Urged For New Judgeship, The Atlanta Constitution
PAGE 3, COLUMN 4
Governor Slaton Tells Committee
He Intends to Keep the
Place Free of Politics.
A committee composed of many of the prominent members of the Atlanta Bar association called upon Governor Slaton at the state capitol Monday afternoon urging the appointment of Judge L. S. Roan to the fourth superior court judgeship, created by act of the last legislature for the Atlanta circuit.
Speaking in behalf of Judge Roan several of the city's best known attorneys declared him to be the man most fit for the position.
Eugene R. Black, chairman of the bar association committee, touched upon the "opposition to Judge Roan's appointment," and declared it to be based solely on the theory that Judge Roan was not an Atlanta man and that the members of the bar association who had signed a petition asking that Judge Roan be not named had signed it for that reason only.
In naming a man for the vacant judgeship …

No Mass in St. Peter’s: Roman Rite Pilgrimage Moves to St. Mary Major

The final programme for the annual Rome pilgrimage of the Traditional Roman Rite (23–25 October) has been announced.
However, there is a notable change this year: the pilgrims will enter St Peter's Basilica at 1 p.m. to pray, but there will be no Mass.
Instead, pilgrims will travel to the Basilica of St Mary Major, where Bishop Athanasius Schneider will celebrate Mass at 3 p.m.
On Friday evening, Bishop Schneider will preside over Pontifical Vespers at the Pantheon.
Unlike in previous years, no cardinal is scheduled to celebrate the principal liturgies.
On Sunday, the traditional Feast of Christ the King, Masses will be held at San Giovanni Battista dei Fiorentini, Santissima Trinità dei Pellegrini and Sant’Anna al Laterano.
The organisers have expressed their gratitude to Cardinal Rolandas Makrickas, Archpriest of St Mary Major, for welcoming the pilgrims.
