Organized by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX), nearly 700 faithful, along with 120 students from the boys’ school L’Étoile du Matin, took part in a procession through Brussels, Belgium, on March 15. The procession marked the unveiling of a new statue of Saint Joseph, installed on the newly restored façade of Saint Joseph Church in Brussels.

I don't agree with the good Abbot's proposal - it's a bit too simplistic. Does he not realize how flawed the Novus Ordo is ,how conducive it is to distortion and abuse - which is a regular occurrence. Does he not know that Paul VI's Novus Ordo Missal does not - not - correspond to anything mandated by Vatican II but was contrived by Annibale Bugnini and his band of liturgical deformers/destroyers - some of whom later regretted what they did. I say this as a priest who celebrated the Novus Ordo for many years having recurring dreams/nightmares about the liturgy until in recent times I caught up with the Traditional Latin Roman Rite (that of my youth). Now I offer the Holy Sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ everyday in private (I'm a cancelled priest!) and no more recurring dreams/nightmares. Abbot Geoffroy Kemlin of the Abbey Saint-Pierre, Solesmes, France, has proposed to insert the old Latin Mass into the current Roman Missal, creating one missal containing two forms. The Novus Ordo should remain unchanged. He has sent his proposal in a letter to Leo XIV on November 12, 2025. Abbot Kemlin explicitly frames this as a response to the global liturgical dispute (including France, United States, England, Germany) and an effort to restore unity in the Church. He admits that the two forms reflect different “anthropologies” and ways of prayer and Catholics attached to the old rite are unlikely to adopt the new one. His proposal speaks of "minimal" revisions of the old Latin Mass.
